Day Trip to Wrightsville Beach!

Saturday, September 30, 2006: 8:00am - 7:30pm

IF YOU LIVE IN DURHAM: Meet us at 8am to start your morning off right at Victoria's Sweets Bakery & Cafe in Durham. They are located in Sutton Station at 5826 Fayetteville Rd, Durham, NC, 27713. We decided to find somewhere more fun to wait for the inevitable late-comers than the church parking lot!

RALEIGH AREA RESIDENTS: Nicole decided it was silly for you all to drive an hour out of the way just to meet us. Meet she and Charity: 8:30am at the Caribou Coffee on the corner of Duraleigh and Edwards Mill Rd. The exact address is 3101 Charles B. Root Wynd, Raleigh, NC, 27612.

You'll have a panoramic view of the intercoastal waterway while meeting new friends and catching up with the old over lunch at at Bluewater Grill. Check out their menu.

Bring your beach chairs, towels, Frisbee, surfboard, magazines, and anything else you may need to enjoy a day by the sea. We'll provide the coolers and the ice, you bring the drinks!

Our graphic designers, Ben & Eddie, are heading up our giant sandcastle building competition so even your son's sand toys are welcome.

Needing a little more action than building sandcastles?

Nelvin, the British Virgin Islands native, competed at the collegiate level in beach volleyball but he is taking on all levels of playing experience to make up his teams. Send him an email if you are interested. tho_nel@hotmail.com

If you'd prefer spectator status, look for former NCCU cheerleader, Kim, on the sidelines to cheer your favorite players on to victory.

Jamie & Kristin are leading an hour long kayak tour of the marshes and Intercoastal Waterway in Wrightsville Beach.

$18 to rent a single kayak and $28 if you want to double with a friend. Contact Kristin: kristinmichelle2@gmail.com to get your boat.

The beach party shuts down by five o'clock & we'll return to Durham by 7:30pm.

However, always the adventurers, Jonathan and Lydia Ruth are campaigning to check out the nightlife. Jump in their cars if you are looking for a few more hours of fun.
